On 13th July 2024, the Fun & Easy Mandarin Introductory Workshop was held under the Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP) 2024, featuring Ms. Fong Jeny from Fasih Mandarin as the speaker. The workshop attracted 30 participants from various colleges and universities around Kuantan, offering insights into the growing importance of Mandarin both locally and globally. Ms. Jeny managed to change the perspective that Mandarin is difficult to learn by using interactive activities to make the language fun and accessible. Participants eagerly engaged in learning basic Mandarin greetings and daily phrases, with many expressing newfound confidence and excitement about continuing their Mandarin studies. The workshop left attendees inspired, not only with practical language skills but also with a deeper appreciation for Mandarin’s significance in the modern world.
