PROGRAM PENDIDIKAN PENGUNDI
This Voters' Education Programme was conducted by Pejabat Pilihan Raya Negeri Pahang at the Multipurpose Hall, Pahang Branch, on 8 July 2026. The speaker, Puan Rohaida, and her team successfully conducted a voting simulation with students to demonstrate the voting process. This activity provided hands-on experience to help voters, especially first-time voters, understand how elections are conducted and how to cast their votes correctly through role-playing activities.

Pre Career talk: Setting the Stage for Success, How to Stand Out and Land Your Dream Job
Public Bank Berhad (PBB) hosted an engaging career development session titled “Pre-Career Talk: Setting the Stage for Success – How to Stand Out and Land Your Dream Job” on 7 July 2026. The event was attended by 44 enthusiastic student participants seeking guidance on navigating the competitive job market.
The session was led by Mr Jeremy Chong Ming Sheng (Talent & Succession Management), with the assistance of Mr Sebastian Chow (Senior Executive) from the Human Capital Management team. They delivered an insightful talk focused on job opportunities within the banking and finance industry. One of the key highlights of the session was the resume-checking segment, where students received personalised feedback on their CVs. Mr Jeremy emphasised the importance of tailoring resumes to specific job roles, showcasing relevant experiences, and maintaining professionalism in their presentation.
Overall, the event provided students with practical tools and confidence to take the next step in their career journey. It also served as a platform for networking and exploring internship or employment opportunities with Public Bank Berhad.

Preparatory Courses for New Diploma and Bachelor Year 1 Students (Intake 202605)
TAR UMT Pahang Branch successfully organised a series of Preparatory Courses for the new Diploma and Bachelor Year 1 students (Intake 202605) from 19 to 25 June 2026 at the Library. The programme comprised four workshops designed to equip students with essential academic and digital skills to support their transition into university life. The workshops included APA 7th Referencing, facilitated by Norfarah Syahirah Mohd Fadzilah and Siti Fatiha Ismail; Assignment Writing using Microsoft Word & Google Docs, facilitated by Ts. Philimal Normelissa Ani Abdul Malek and Ooi Jessie; Presentation Skills, facilitated by Muhammad Redzuan Osman and Nabilah Zulkifli; and ChatGPT: Ethical Use for Enhancing the Learning Experience, facilitated by Dr Tun Norasida Aziz and Po Hui Yee. The programme recorded an overall workshop turnout rate of 87.5%, with 63 students successfully completing all four mandatory workshops and receiving e-certificates. Participants also expressed a high level of satisfaction, awarding the programme an overall rating of 3.55 out of 4.00. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, the initiative reflects TAR UMT Pahang Branch's commitment to providing quality learning opportunities and equipping students with the academic, digital, and ethical competencies needed to succeed in higher education.
Youth Festival 2026 @ 30 May 2026 & 31 May 2026
Youth Festival 2026 is a vibrant and inclusive 2-days event dedicated to empowering, engaging, and celebrating the youth of the East Coast. The festival serves as a dynamic platform for young individuals to develop soft skills, leadership, and critical thinking, while also building meaningful social connections.
The event aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by highlighting the important role of youth in driving sustainable change. Activities include a anime cosplay, sports competitions (badminton, chess), Beyblade X competition, live music performances and many more.
Youth Festival 2026 embodies the spirit of creativity, collaboration, and community—celebrating the potential of youth as the changemakers of tomorrow.

Mindful Growth: Grow Your Garden, Grow Your Life
On 8 April 2026, the student counsellor, Ms. Wong Ngik Lin from TAR UMT Pahang Branch, conducted a session titled “Mindful Growth: Grow Your Garden, Grow Your Life,” attended by 10 students, which focused on hands-on activities such as the Group Self-Care Jar and Healing Postcard to promote reduced stress, enhance emotional well-being, strengthen interpersonal connections, and raise awareness of self-care and personal growth.

Educational Visit to MyIPO Tower
On 1 April 2026, TAR UMT Pahang Branch organised an educational visit to the MyIPO Tower, Petaling Jaya, involving 40 students accompanied by 1 lecturer, Ts. Abdul Halim Bin Abdul Rahman. The group departed from Pahang Branch at 7.00 AM and arrived at MyIPO for a half-day learning experience on intellectual property (IP).
The visit began with a welcoming address by Puan Noranisah binti Abas, Director of the Intellectual Property Academy, followed by an insightful briefing on the fundamentals of intellectual property. Students were introduced to key areas including the importance of IP, application procedures, commercialisation, and enforcement. The session concluded with a Q&A segment, where students actively engaged with the speakers. Participants also toured the MyIPO Library and Service Counter, gaining exposure to real-world IP practices.
Overall feedback was highly positive, with most students rating the visit as very to extremely informative. The visit successfully enhanced students’ understanding of intellectual property and reinforced the importance of industry exposure through outside classroom learning.

A Day in the Life of a TARCian
Student Ambassadors conducted the programme “A Day in the Life of a TARCian” on 1 April 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Students from SMK Air Putih were invited to participate, with a total of 40 students attending, accompanied by their teachers, Ms Nurul Nabila binti Abd Halim and Ms Mas Khairenn binti Mohamed Kamal. The purpose of the programme was to promote the programmes offered at TAR UMT Pahang Branch and to raise awareness among secondary school students. Activities included a career test, a campus tour, and team-building sessions.

Chinese New Year Children Colouring Competition
The Chinese New Year Coloring Competition was successfully held on 15 March 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Multipurpose Hall (MPH), TAR UMT Pahang Branch. The event was organized by the Early Childhood Education Society and led by Ms. Daphnee Soo Xian-Wen, with Mr. Muhammad Redzuan bin Osman serving as the supporting lecturer. Both lecturers are from the Department of Social Science.
A total of 86 children participated in the competition across four age categories: 4–6 years, 7–9 years, 10–12 years, and 13 years and above.
The competition was judged by Ms. Goh Hui Ling and Mr. Chow Sia Shung from home base art center. The objectives of the event were to unleash children’s artistic talents, foster community engagement and networking, and promote the Early Childhood Education Programme to the public.

Career Talk by IQI Property
On 2 March 2026, the Career Talk organized by the Student Representative Council (SRC), in collaboration with IQI Realty Sdn Bhd, successfully achieved its objectives by providing 35 students with valuable insights into the real estate industry. The speaker, Mr. Jayden Ng from IQI Realty Sdn Bhd, shared his professional experiences and explained current trends in the property market, career opportunities, and the skills required to succeed in the industry. Students gained a better understanding of potential career pathways, as well as the importance of developing communication, networking, and entrepreneurial skills. The session also provided an opportunity for students to interact with the speaker during the Q&A session, further enhancing their learning and engagement.

Blood Donation 2026
The First Aid Unit from TAR UMT Pahang Branch, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Kuantan, successfully conducted a Blood Donation Program. The event was organised on 6 February 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at the Lobby of TAR UMT Pahang Branch. The activity aimed to encourage students and members of the public to contribute to society by donating blood. The event was conducted with the assistance of medical personnel to ensure a safe and proper donation process. A total of 16 packs of blood were successfully collected during the event. Participants gained a better understanding of the importance of blood donation and its role in saving lives. The activity also helped to strengthen communication and teamwork among the members. In addition, it increased awareness of community service and social responsibility.
