World Kamishibai Day
The World Kamishibai Day celebration took place on 14 December 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Perpustakaan Awam Pahang in Kuantan. This free event, open to the public, commemorated Kamishibai, a traditional form of Japanese storytelling using illustrated boards. Attendees experienced captivating narratives brought to life through visual storytelling. The celebration aimed to promote and preserve this unique art form. The event provided an engaging and culturally enriching experience for all ages.

Tsot launching
The movie is a collaboration between the TAR UMT Faculty of Communication & Creative Industries and Kaki Kreatif. The story tells a tale of TARCians and reflects on the community's determination and drive to succeed. The session enables students to reflect on our past and appreciate the founders' contributions through a cinematic experience.

TARCian Run 2024
"There are 39 students and 1 staff member from the Pahang Branch participating in this annual running event at the KL Main Campus, in conjunction with Malaysia Day, which celebrates the spirit of togetherness and unity among Tarcians and Malaysians alike."

Kejohanan Sukan MASISWA Zon Timur 2024
Seventeen students were selected to represent the Pahang Branch in this sports championship. The sports participated in include chess, badminton, e-sports, and table tennis. The achievements are as follows: the Badminton Men's Doubles and Table Tennis Women's Singles both reached the quarterfinals, e-sports placed 8th among 11 teams, and Individual Men's Chess finished 9th among 41 players.

Accounting Bootcamp 2024
On August 17, 2024, the Accounting, Business, and Management Society successfully hosted Accounting Bootcamp 2024, an engaging annual event organized by the Department of Accounting and Business (DACB) at TAR UMT Pahang Branch. This initiative aimed to introduce fundamental accounting principles and concepts to high school students while promoting TAR UMT to the local community as a center for academic excellence.
The bootcamp welcomed 70 enthusiastic participants, including 33 students from SMK Tanah Puteh and 37 from SMK Air Putih, who actively engaged in the enriching experience. The event also served as a platform to develop participants’ critical thinking and analytical skills, preparing them for future academic challenges. Furthermore, it provided an opportunity for students to connect with university peers and accounting lecturers, fostering relationships that inspire continued learning. Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, the bootcamp emphasized the importance of inclusive, equitable, and lifelong learning opportunities

Beach Clean Up Program
The Beach Clean-Up program, in collaboration with UNITAR and the TAR UMT Pahang Branch, took place on 27th July 2024 at Pantai Taman Gelora, Kuantan, Pahang. A total of 30 participants, including staff and students, collected 175.2 kg of trash. During the clean-up, a significant amount of plastic waste was found tangled in the mangrove roots along the beach. The Beach Clean-Up program highlighted the importance of environmental awareness and community responsibility. Participants learned about the impact of plastic pollution on coastal ecosystems, especially how it harms mangrove forests. The event underscored the value of teamwork in addressing environmental issues and encouraged sustainable practices to protect natural habitats.

Dental Health Screening
A free dental health screening event took place on 16 July 2024, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at TAR UMT Pahang Branch. This public event was co-hosted with Klinik Pergigian Putramedic. Attendees received valuable dental health assessments and professional advice. The screening aimed to raise awareness about oral hygiene and the importance of regular dental check-ups. This collaborative effort between TAR UMT and Klinik Pergigian Putramedic provided accessible dental care services to the community.

Cancer Awareness Talk: Why Are So Many Young People Getting Cancer?
A "Cancer Awareness Talk: Why Are So Many Young People Getting Cancer?" was held on 16 July 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at MPH Hall, TAR UMT Pahang Branch. This free event, open to the public, featured Dr. Mohamad Aminul Faezi Bin Ahmad Jalalin, from Darul Makmur Medical Centre (DMMC) as the speaker. The talk addressed the concerning trend of increasing cancer diagnoses among young people. Dr. Jalalin shared valuable insights into potential risk factors, current research, and preventative measures. The event aimed to raise awareness about cancer in younger populations and promote proactive health management.

Youth Festival 2024
Youth Festival 2024 is a socializing event where young people can participate in various activities that are held during the event. This event is to reach out to the youth community in Kuantan, Pahang, establish local networking between TAR UMT, community and industry, promote TAR UMT (Pahang Branch) to public and secondary schools in Kuantan, Pahang and achieve United Nations SDG goal 3: To ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages. The following are the activities: Badminton Tournament, Career Day as Early Childhood Practitioner, Chess Tournament, Colouring Competition, Dance Workshop, Digital Drawing Workshop, Entrepreneurship Challenge, Escape Room, Kids Fashion, Netball Competition, Pre-Loved Market, Tech Camp (Robotic), VR & AI Gaming Expo. There were a total of 60,000 people joining our event and it was visited by Sultan Pahang & Tengku Ampuan Pahang. Our collaborating partners are HRD Corp, Persatuan Akuatik Pahang, Havoc Food Festival, China Press, Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Pahang (PPAP),Young Malaysian Movement Pahang (YMM), and Lions Club.

SMJK Tanah Puteh Brass Band Fundraising Night
On Saturday, 11th May 2024, our student ambassadors Saw Ching Yow, Chan Yik Han, and Yeo Zheng Xuan represented TAR UMT Pahang Branch at the SMJK Tanah Puteh Brass Band Fundraising Night. TAR UMT Pahang Branch was honored to be invited and proudly supported the event by sponsoring an advertisement in their booklet for this year.

Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd Scholarship Briefing
On 4 May, 2024, Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd from Kemaman conducted a talk about scholarships offered for the students of Bachelor’s Degree. This scholarship program is design to explore potential students in the programme “Bachelor of Business (Honours) Accounting and Finance”. Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd introduced their company and its facilities to give students a better understanding of their company. They also provided information regarding the career opportunities in their company after completing the studies.

Table Tennis Clinic: From Novice to Pro
Student Sports Committee of TAR UMT Pahang branch has organized a one-day Table Tennis Clinic: From Novice to Pro, held on 30 April 2024. During that clinic, 24 students and staff have participated in engaging sessions led by expert coaches, who is a head coach of Pahang SUKMA team, honing their skills and techniques. The event fostered a spirit of learning and enthusiasm for the sport. A big thank you to all participants and organizers for making this workshop a memorable experience!

Charity Run at TAR UMT Pahang
On 20th April 2024, the Peer Support Society, Student Representative Council, and Chinese Language Society at TAR UMT Pahang Branch hosted a charity run aimed at promoting physical wellness and a healthy lifestyle among university students. The event fostered a sense of community and solidarity, encouraging teamwork and support for a common cause. Participants had the opportunity to engage in philanthropic activities by supporting vulnerable children through their donations. The event raised a total of RM 455.05, which was donated to the Kiwanis Club of Kuantan to further their efforts in supporting children in need.

Field Trip to Menara Great Eastern
The purpose of the field trip to Great Eastern Kuala Lumpur is to provide students with industry exposure, networking opportunities, practical application of classroom learning, inspiration, and motivation, thereby aligning seamlessly with the university's commitment to a well-rounded education and contributing to the development of industry-ready graduates. This program is planned to be hold physically at Menara Great Eastern, Jalan Ampang on 16th April 2024 (Tuesday), 7.30am to 11.00pm.

Volunteering at Autism Service Kuantan
On April 15, 2024, the "Child from the Star" project took place at AE Autism Service in Air Putih, Kuantan, with the active involvement of seven lecturers and five students from TAR UMT Pahang Branch. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap in understanding the daily lives and experiences of children with autism while fostering inclusivity, empathy, and empowerment. Through interactive sessions and hands-on activities, participants engaged in meaningful interactions with children with autism, creating a supportive environment where their voices were heard and their abilities celebrated. This collaborative approach not only empowered individuals with autism but also challenged misconceptions surrounding neurodiversity, promoting acceptance and appreciation within the community.

Visitation to Tzu Chi and Pusat Jagaan Chahaya
The visits to Tzu Chi Recycling Center and Pusat Jagaan Chahaya aim to expose students to various global issues such as climate change, sustainability, awareness of corporate social responsibility, and community welfare. The visit to Tzu Chi has involved voluntary activities such as briefings about sustainability issues and the operation of Tzu Chi's recycling program in Kuantan. The visit to Pusat Jagaan Chahaya has exposed the students to ethical leadership development, especially regarding ways to contribute to the community in terms of corporate social responsibility. These activities have cultivated awareness of global citizenship and have helped students recognize their potential not only in corporate social responsibility but also in effecting positive change on a global scale.

Blood Donation Drive
The First Aid Unit (FAU) TAR UC Pahang Faculty Branch organized an inaugural blood donation drive on 29 March 2024. The event was conducted with the help of Blood Bank, Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan (HTAA), Kuantan, Pahang. By the end of the event, we managed to get a total of 30 blood bags. We hope to continue this meaningful blood donation drive in the future, to help others regardless of race and religion.

Program motivation talk : Belwin Tuition Centre Kuantan
This is a collaboration program between TAR UMT Pahang and Pusat Tuition Belwin, offering a free program for all students from various ages in Kuantan, Pahang. The main purpose of this activity is to assist students in developing their motivation, learning effective time management, and providing tips for successful preparation. During the program, students are also exposed to interactive games.
