Congratulations to Department of Accountancy and Business for their first article publication in a MyCite-indexed journal
Dr. Mohd Remie bin Mohd Johan and Dr. Tun Norasida binti Aziz, provided guidance and supervision for the publication. The Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) students — Tan Wei Xuan, Ng Moi Kee, and Khoo Yi Shuen — were the pioneers behind this achievement.
The article is titled “TikTok Video Credibility and Purchase Decisions Among Consumers in Pahang, Malaysia.”
International Innovation in Multimedia and Creative Competition Perak 2025 (IIMaCC-Perak 2025)
The International Innovation in Multimedia and Creative Competition Perak 2025 (IIMaCC-Perak 2025), organized by Kolej Poly-Tech MARA (KPTM) Ipoh, is an innovation competition held under the theme “Innovating the World Through Multimedia Technology and Creative Thinking.” The event provides opportunities for students to present creative, multimedia- and technology-driven ideas in areas such as educational innovation, new media, and creative technology.
At the competition, Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) students Tan Wei Xuan and Ng Moi Kee, mentored by Dr. Soon Shu Bee, presented their project titled “FLEXYFIT: A Taekwondo Clubhouse to Promote Health and Well-Being in Society,” which was awarded a Bronze Medal. This achievement highlights the students’ creativity, innovative thinking, and ability to apply multimedia technology to address societal needs.
Annual Railway Summit, Conference And Innovation Competition (ARSCIC) 2025
The Annual Railway Summit, Conference and Innovation Competition (ARSCIC) 2025, organized by the Metro System Academy, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (MSA UTHM), featured the participation of students from TAR UMT Pahang Branch. Mentored by Dr. Soon Shu Bee, the student team—Sharvani A/P Suresh, Maaran A/L Arumugam, Woon Thong Wei, Lee Ee Junn, and Tan Zhi Ying—competed in the Junior Inventor Category and achieved outstanding success by winning the Gold Medal, Best Innovation Track Award, and Best of the Best (BOTB) – Junior Category for their project “RAILVOLUTION Nexus: A smart, sustainable connection point where rail meets revolution.”
Through video-based project presentations, the competition enabled students to showcase innovative solutions in railway engineering, transportation systems, and smart mobility, while strengthening their creativity, technical knowledge, communication skills, and innovation capability.
2nd International 3 minutes Research and Innovation Competition
The 2nd International 3-Minutes Research and Innovation Competition 2025, organized by the CoCEAN Postgraduate Club at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), was held from 9 to 11 December 2025. Representing the TAR UMT Pahang Branch, Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) in Software Systems Development students, Liew Ee Lin and Firzanah Mohamed Appas, under the guidance of Lecturer (DCIT) Ms. Mukrimah Binti Nawir, participated in the competition.
They competed in the Undergraduate Category and received Silver Awards for both of their projects, titled:
1. Breast Cancer Marker Identification Using Deep Learning Techniques
2. Enhanced E-Commerce Platform for SMEs Featuring Real-Time Seller Chat and 3D Product Display
Congratulations to the recipients of the Gold Medal for their project titled “Designing and Testing a Math Learning Prototype for Children.”
The FIM Innovation (FINO) and Faculty of Industrial Management International Innovation Exhibition (FIMiEx) were held on 29 November 2025 at BCIB Lodge, Indera Mahkota, organized by UPMSA. The event featured students from Diploma in Early Childhood Education, TAR UMT Pahang Branch, along with students and lecturers from various higher education institutions (IPT) across Malaysia and abroad.
During the exhibition, a team mentored by Encik Muhammad Hilmi Bin Abdul Rashid, consisting of Soon Yi Hern, Beh Kai Ni, Kuan Qiao Yan, and Loh Mei Hua, presented their innovation project titled “Designing and Testing a Math Learning Prototype for Children.” The team’s project was recognized for its excellence and awarded a Gold Medal. This achievement highlights their commitment to educational innovation and significantly contributed to the overall success of the event.

GPT HERO 2025: AI-Powered Competition- 10th May 2024
TAR UMT Pahang Branch Teams Shine at GPT HERO 2025: AI-Powered Competition
On 10 May 2025, three teams from TAR UMT Pahang Branch participated in the GPT HERO 2025: AI-Powered Competition, hosted by TAR UMT Johor Branch. The competition featured two main categories: Computing, which challenged participants to showcase AI-powered coding skills, and Non-Computing, which focused on the creative application of AI to generate lyrics and melodies for original songs.

The teams demonstrated excellent innovation, teamwork, and a deep understanding of AI applications in both technical and creative domains. Their achievements are a testament to the high standards of education and mentorship at TAR UMT Pahang Branch.

International Creative & Innovative Idea Competition (ICIIC) 2025
The student Nicholas Chee Jian Shen of One Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) in Software Systems Development, Supervisor: Ms. Mukrimah binti Nawir and Co-Supervisor: Ms. Siti Aishah binti Zakaria was selected to receive a Bronze Award for their outstanding achievement at the International Creative & Innovative Idea Competition for the title "Being in the Moment: The Fight against Wasting Time". They were awarded a Bronze Award at the Virtual Platform (Youtube) on 04/12/2024 - 21/01/2025 for their project.
