Annual Railway Summit, Conference And Innovation Competition (ARSCIC) 2025
The Annual Railway Summit, Conference and Innovation Competition (ARSCIC) 2025, organized by the Metro System Academy UTHM Training Centre (MSA UTHM), was held from 18th - 20th November 2025. Ms. Wan Nurnadiera Aiza Binti Zakariah, Ms. Aznira Binti Zakaria and Ts. Abdul Halim Bin Abdul Rahman staff TAR UMT Pahang Branch participated in the Professional Inventor (Academics and Industry) Category in this competition.
They received Gold Awards for their projects with the title of their project is Quiet Sphere: Intelligent Acoustic Zones for Transport Hubs. ‘Blocking the Noise, Protecting What Matters'.
This project introduces an AI-powered noise control system designed to make busy public spaces quieter and more pleasant. The system uses microphones to "listen" to the environment and loudspeakers to produce special sound waves that cancel out disturbing noises. Artificial intelligence is used to tell the difference between unwanted noise (like screeching brakes or humming machines) and useful sounds (like voices or safety announcements).
2nd International 3 minutes Research and Innovation Competition
The 2nd International 3-Minutes Research and Innovation Competition 2025, organized by the CoCEAN Postgraduate Club at Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), was held from 9 to 11 December 2025. Ms. Mukrimah Binti Nawir and Ms. Norizzati Binti Bahsri, staff TAR UMT Pahang Branch collaborate with Dr. Ts. Masyitah binti Abu (Senior Lecturer from USM) participated in the Open Category in this competition.
They received Gold Awards for their project title Digital Talking Clock for Blind People.
2nd International 3 minutes Research and Innovation Competition
Led by Ms. Shakirah Binti Saidin (Lecturer, DCIT), the TAR UMT Pahang Branch team won a Gold Award in the Open Category at the 2nd International 3-Minute Research and Innovation Competition 2025 (UMT, 9–11 December). The award-winning project, “Aimi – AI-Driven Virtual Companion for Enhanced User Interaction,” featured Chui Leng Fung, a Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) in Software Systems Development student, as a team member.

Ms. Norherizan Binti Abd Moen, from the Department of Social Science, successful served as a Keynote Speaker at the 4th International Conference for Researchers (ICONRES)
Our lecturer, Ms. Norherizan Binti Abd Moen, from the Department of Social Science, served as a Keynote Speaker at the 4th International Conference for Researchers (ICONRES), organized by the Philippine Pedagogical Innovations and Transformation Council (PPITC). The conference was held in a hybrid format on 29–30 November 2025, with its main venue in Cebu, Philippines.
Her keynote presentation, titled “Digital Behaviours, Smarter Pedagogy: Rethinking Language Learning for the Next Generation,” was delivered online and aligned with the conference theme, “Smart Learning, Sustainable Futures.” The talk highlighted the importance of moving beyond digital substitution toward true pedagogical transformation, especially in meeting the needs of today’s digital-native learners.

Our lecturer, Siti Aishah Zakaria from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), in collaboration with Dr. Che Akmal Che Yahaya from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), along with co-authors Dr. Ahmad Firdaus, Prof. Ts. Dr. Suzuri Hitam, Dr. Farzah Yunus, and Ts. Dr. Noor Akma Abu Bakar, received the Silver Award at CITREx 2025 (15th Creation, Innovation, Technology & Research Exposition), organized by Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).
The award-winning project, titled “CloudBlue: Next-Gen Cloud Intelligence for Sustainable Oceans and Secure IoT Networks,” showcases the team’s innovation in real-time marine data monitoring, edge AI integration, and secure cloud computing to promote environmental sustainability and ocean intelligence.

Our MPU lecturers, Ms. Norlida Abdul Salam and Mr. Redzuan Osman, have been awarded the Best Paper Award in the Education and Civilization category at the 6th ISHEC (International Heritage Conference), organized by UiTM Cawangan Melaka on 28th May 2025.
The paper, “Kesedaran Sejarah Kepada Masyarakat: Kajian Terhadap Penerbitan Bahagian Tawarikh dalam Majalah Guru 1924–1929,” was co-authored with Dr. Siti Aisyah (University of Malaya) and Ms. Nang Naemah (UiTM).

5th International Conference on Applied and Industrial Mathematics and Statistics (ICoAIMS) 2025
Congratulations to The Recipient of 2025 Best Paper Award
Our lecturer, Fatin Hanani Hasan from Department of Computing And Information Technology, along with co-authors Associate Prof. Dr. Mohd. Sham Mohamad , Associate Prof. Dr Yuhani Yusof, and Siti Hasanah Jusoo, received the Best Paper Award in the Pure Mathematics category at the 5th International Conference on Applied & Industrial Mathematics and Statistics (ICoAIMS 2025), held on 23–24 May 2025 at The Pearl Kuala Lumpur Hotel. Organized by the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), the award-winning paper, “Automorphisms of Finite Cyclic Group for Generator of 2,” reflects the team’s excellence in mathematical research and contribution to the field of group theory.
Ms. Norherizan Abd Moen Wins International Recognition at ICIIC 2025 for Innovative Research on Profanity and Personality
8 February 2025 – Ms. Norherizan Abd Moen, an esteemed English Lecturer at TAR UMT Pahang, has achieved an outstanding milestone at the International Creative & Innovative Idea Competition (ICIIC) 2025, securing recognition in the Professional Category for her groundbreaking project titled "Profanity vs Personality: Not Your Common Language."
With over 600 innovation groups registered and 564 entries completed, the competition was a global event featuring participants from diverse regions including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, South Africa, the UAE, and Brunei. The submitted videos were rigorously evaluated by 157 expert juries through a fully virtual process.
Ms. Norherizan's project explores the intersection of profanity and personality, examining how the use of profanity impacts and reflects individual personalities. Her innovative approach to understanding linguistic expressions in social discourse impressed the expert panel, earning her a spot among the competition's top achievers.
As an English Lecturer at TAR UMT Pahang, Ms. Norherizan has over 15 years of experience in teaching and research, with a deep focus on areas such as English Language Studies, Gamification, and Smart Society 5.0. Her academic contributions have greatly impacted students, and this recognition underscores her dedication to exploring meaningful, contemporary issues in language and communication.
Speaking about her achievement, Ms. Norherizan shared, "This recognition validates the importance of studying language evolution and its societal impact. I hope this work contributes to further discussions in linguistics and education."
The ICIIC 2025 continues to serve as a prestigious platform for showcasing innovative ideas and creative solutions across disciplines, providing a global stage for academic and professional growth.
