Successful Study Overseas: International Exchange Program to Malaysia
On 5th February 2025, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia hosted an International Guest Lecture featuring Mrs. Norherizan Abd Moen from TAR UMT Pahang Branch. The lecture, titled “Successful Study Overseas: International Exchange Program to Malaysia,” provided valuable insights into academic exchange opportunities and strategies for a successful study experience abroad.
The event commenced with an opening speech by UTI’s Vice Rector, Dr. Mahathir Muhammad, accompanied by Vice Rector Academic, Mr. Achmad Yudi Wahyudin. Dr. Mahathir emphasized the importance of ongoing collaboration with Malaysian universities through student mobility, visiting lecturers, and joint research. He encouraged students to broaden their horizons and pursue international scholarships.
Held at Aula A, Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia, the session attracted students eager to explore international education pathways. Mrs. Norherizan shared key information on exchange programs, cultural adaptation, and academic expectations in Malaysia, reinforcing TAR UMT’s commitment to global engagement and student mobility.
This event marks a strengthening of academic collaboration between Universitas Teknokrat Indonesia and TAR UMT, fostering knowledge exchange and international networking among students.
International Guest Lecture Series 2025: Managing Conflict & Negotiation
On 8 April 2025, TAR UMT Pahang Branch hosted the International Guest Lecture Series featuring Dr. Marbawi, Head of the Master’s Programme in Management at Universitas Malikussaleh (UNIMAL), Aceh, Indonesia. With over two decades of experience in teaching and research in leadership, organizational behavior, and performance management, Dr. Marbawi delivered a compelling lecture on "Managing Conflict & Negotiation."
The session, attended by 128 participants, provided valuable global perspectives on conflict management strategies and effective negotiation techniques. Dr. Marbawi engaged the audience with real-life case studies and practical examples, making complex concepts accessible and relatable. Attendees appreciated the clarity, relevance, and applicability of the talk, with suggestions to include more interactive elements like quizzes and language accessibility in future sessions.
This event supports SDG 4: Quality Education by offering global learning exposure and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by emphasizing essential workplace skills. It also reflects TAR UMT’s dedication to academic excellence and international collaboration.
International Guest Lecture Series 2025: Performance Measurement Along the Supply Chain
On 24 April 2025, TAR UMT Pahang Branch hosted an insightful session under the International Guest Lecture Series titled ""Performance Measurement Along the Supply Chain"", delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Faisal Matriadi, SE., M.Si from Universitas Malikussaleh (UNIMAL), Indonesia. With a strong academic background in Management Science and extensive experience in economics and business education, Dr. Faisal engaged 231 participants through a well-structured online session via Google Meet.
The lecture introduced key supply chain concepts, including the SCOR model, Balanced Scorecard, and various performance measurement systems. Participants appreciated the clear explanations, real-world examples, and international insights that enhanced their understanding of how performance is managed in supply chain operations. Feedback highlighted Dr. Faisal's engaging delivery and the relevance of the topic to both academic and career development.
This session supports SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, by promoting global learning and the importance of supply chain performance in modern industries. The event also reflects TAR UMT’s commitment to international collaboration and curriculum enrichment through expert-led engagement.
TAR UMT Lecturers as Guest Speakers at UNIMAL
TAR UMT Pahang Branch is proud to share the success of two international guest lectures delivered by our esteemed lecturers, Ms. Azura Binti Zainal and Mrs. Siti Fatiha Binti Ismail, upon invitation from our collaboration partner, Universitas Malikussaleh (UNIMAL), Indonesia.
Held on 30 April 2025 via Zoom, both sessions were insightful and interactive, each attended by over 40 enthusiastic UNIMAL students.
Ms. Azura’s session for the Strategic Management course focused on Corporate Level Strategy, sparking deep discussions on business growth and direction. Later in the day, Mrs. Siti Fatiha engaged Marketing students with her lecture on Pricing Strategy and Program, as well as Managing and Organising Integrated Marketing Channels.
